We are Partners

A resident camp experience provides a wonderful opportunity for your child to grow and develop high self-confidence and a strong sense of self-worth. Help your child get the most out of camp by doing the following:

  • Set Goals- Before camp, help your child pick a few major goals for the summer, either ranks on the activities or personal goals. Goals that campers will have to stretch to reach are great.

  • Let Us Know- Personal goals. Important ranks to achieve. Special concerns. Issues at home or school. Medical information. The more we know, the better we can help your child. (It will all be kept confidential.)

  • Coach Your Child: Trust the Counselors- We can’t help with a problem if we don’t know about it. Coach your child to see his or her counselor about any issues that may arise. We are there to help.

  • Trust Us- Your child may face a few “skinned knees” while at camp. These are normal. In fact, they often lead to major growth. If your child writes about a problem at camp, write back and be encouraging. Direct him or her to their counselors. But trust us...no need to call or e-mail. If it’s a major issue, we will contact you.
